Records describing the Scots struggles to live their faith in the years of 1686. They were put into prison because they would not live the religion that the king of Scotland wanted. They were helped in getting ship to come to America. The ship was called the Henry and Frances. They had been banished to the American colonies. They arrived in 1685. They Organized the Church Old Tennent Presbyterian Church. This was located in East Jersey.
George Johnston was one of the leaders. He died the same year they arrived. |
