The Genealogy of the Cushing Family, an Account of the Ancestors and Descendants of Matthew Cushing, who came to America in 1638. By James Cushing 1905. pg.21. Lists the names of his parents, his christening date, his marriage date and wife’s name. 1638 26 April he, (at age 50) with his wife and 5 children, embarked on the ship Diligent of Ipswich and sailed from Gravesend. Landed in Boston 10 Aug 1638, and settled in Hingham, Mass., named after the Cushing home in England. |
